Clinique's BB Cream - Blooming Brilliant

Another week, another BB Cream. Yes we told you these were the new beauty buzzword to watch out for and boy we weren’t wrong.
Last week we checked out Estee’s version and this week its Clinique who have released their new New Age Defense BB Cream SPF30. As you know, beautycouture.ie is always pretty sceptical of products which claim to do all things for all skin types, but as we found out sometimes a product can come pretty darn close to the mark.
Clinique’s BB cream is similar to the many others which have poured onto the shelves, namely in the fact that it’s a multi-tasker. It aims to help prevent the premature signs of ageing with UVA/UVB and environmental protection while concealing imperfections, reducing fine lines, balancing oil, hydrating and extending the look of your foundation. Oh yes and it’s suitable for ALL skintypes.
Erm… you can see our scepticism. But and here is the surprising but, Clinique have come very close to ticking all the boxes. By now most Beautycouture.ie readers will know that I have pretty unique skin and its not often I find a product that works, but this one did.
First up the texture is very lightweight, yet it manages to provide medium coverage. If I was having a good skin day I could even have worn this as a light foundation on its own! Which for me is unheard of. It really smooths out the skin and blends very well. It also didn’t do anything to upset my skin and dealt with the forehead shine situation like a pro. The other benefits including SPF 30 and vitamin E, caffeine and light reflecting pigments are a total bonus.
Fab as an everyday light foundation or as a tinted primer for under foundation, many women will find this a total beauty box keeper, surprisingly even me!
Its available in 2 shades for pink or golden undertones and will be on Clinique counters from the 2nd March €32
