Get the Look - Charlize Therons Golden Globe Hair
By: Niamh, January 20
We liked Charlize Theron’s pale pink Dior gown at the Golden Globes, but what we really liked was her gruaig!
Okay her diamond Cartier hairband was probably what we liked the most, but her hair looked pretty darn fab. So of course we had to find out how she got the look and we got the inside scopp from her hair stylist Enzo Angileri.
A fusion of old Hollywood romantic glamour and laid back ease, the look was superb for the red carpet. According to Enzo: “I wanted her hair to have a casual feeling, very soft, almost as if she had pulled it together herself.”
“I made the most of Charlize's natural waves, and created the style around he texture. The design itself is modern, asymmetrical, and just a little messy.
“The essential and star product for this look was Moroccanoil Frizz Control. I also used Moroccanoil Luminous Hairspray and Moroccanoil Glimmer Shine to create the look, keep the hair in perfect condition, with a lustrous shine and softness.
How the Look Was Created:
Starting with already dried, naturally waved hair, small sections were curled using a 2” curling iron to enhance the volume and texture.
Moroccanoil Glimmer Shine is then misted over the sections. After a few minutes hair was brushed through to eliminate any trace of separation, for a natural, clean look with a romantic, soft texture.
Hair was then swept to the left and made three sections.
The first two were pulled together into a loose bun and pinned, working with Moroccanoil Luminous Hairspray throughout the process to control and hold the hair in place. The last section was then wrapped under and around the bun and pinned in place
Strands were teased from the bun so it looked even more unstructured, messy, and a bit wispy.
Finally, hair is sprayed with Moroccanoil Frizz Control giving full control of the hair and the look of the bun, keeping everything frizz free and in place through the evening. Charlize’ s Diamond Cartier headband was used to complete the look.
