Moschino Pink Bouquet - Dont Judge A Perfume by Its Bottle

I know what you’re thinking; this perfume has to be uber-OTT-vanilla-yack-to-the-max, right? Well we though the exact same thing, but learned the very important lesson of not judging a book by its cover!, or in this case a perfume by its bottle.

Yes it’s a mega blingy, pink bottle which screams said vanilla-ness in most people’s minds, but actually, take a spritz of Moschino’s Pink Bouquet and you’ll be very surprised.

Regular readers will know, one of our pet hates is celeb ‘perfume’ (and I use the term lightly), that smells like some gone-off vanilla extract from the 80s. Its rank, takes no effort or creativity on the part of the celeb who supposedly came up with it and should never be sprayed on anyone! As Janice tells Cady in Mean Girls when she uses Regina George's perfume 'You smell like a baby prostitute!' Okay I’ll get off my soap-box now.

So what of the Moschino? Its girly yes, but beneath its pink exterior lies a beautiful mix of subtle sweet notes, bergamot and surprising pineapple sorbet which makes for a truly lovely combination. There’s also pink lily of the valley, jasmine and gingerbread in there to give it an extra level of depth.

And yes okay, we did totally fall for the bottle!

A really surprising scent, this is going to be on permanent rotation for us this season.
