Regular readers will know that I tend to suffer from chapped lips in the cold weather. And its gross… akin to elephant skin, it’s just not nice.
Beautycouture.ie has tried pretty much every so called lip balm and lip treatment out there from Burt’s Bees, to Voya, heavy hitters like Carmex and good old Vaseline, but none have come close to our new lip hero Eau Thermale Avène Cold Cream Lip Cream €10.17. In short – its fab!
Forget any tingling feeling after application, forget some fake vanilla flavour, forget a greasy residue and say hello to super soft lips. We kid you not, this stuff is amazing.
It tackled my lips in just a few days. The secret? It’s the Avène Thermal Spring Water which soothes and hydrates, while powerful emollients soothe and repairing agents heal damaged lips quickly with long lasting action.
The only drawback is that this stuff can be hell to get out of the tube, expecaily if its cold. I swear we nearly had to stand on it, to get it to come out! A good tip is to make sure its not really cold, so heat the tube up in your hands before you apply and it should come out easier.
