The Great Foundation Search - Mineral Multi Tasker

We have a new entry on the Beautycouture.ie Great Foundation Search chart and it’s from fab Irish brand Fuschia. You might remember last week, we checked out Lancome’s Teint Idole and were rather pleased with the results. This week Fuschia’s fab Mineral Sheer Tint took on the Beautycouture.ie challenge.

While it’s not strictly a regular foundation, Fuschia’s Mineral Sheer Tint still had enough going for it to make it into the Great Foundation Search. The product is more akin to tinted moisturiser and is a total multi-tasking miracle. Why? Because it is a foundation, sunscreen (SPF 20), moisturiser and anti-oxidant all in one. We liked the sound of it already.

So down to brass tacks… does it work? Mostly yes. The texture is creamy, yet lightweight. It goes on smooth and blends well to give an even finish with light coverage, so don’t expect a medium or even heavy finish. It also has quite a nice smell which is a total bonus. It lasted relatively well throughout the day, but if you are of the sweaty disposition then you will definitely need to reapply and powder down.

Sadly the colour choice wasn’t great and actually this is one of my biggest problems with Fuschia as a brand; all of their colours have a hideous orange hue to them that I just don’t like on my skin. I tried the porcelain shade in the mineral sheer tint and even that was more akin to tango than fine china.

Bottom line though, is that at €28, this is a pretty good alternative to more expensive foundations and its mineral multi-tasking benefits are superb. Not quite our new foundation hero, but good enough to go in at the number two spot. Take a look at the leader board below and don’t miss next week when we give Shisedo a thorough inspection!
